Initial Thoughts
We found an interesting company when we found Wellicy. This Colorado company has a nice mix of products, and they bolster it by also offering products from other quality CBD companies (most of which we have featured here with favorable reviews). You can choose from full spectrum, broad spectrum, and CBD from isolate – offered in oils, capsules, edibles, topicals, oral sprays, vapes and hemp flower. In a nice touch, they offer informational CBD live streams, called Wellness Wednesday and Feel Good Friday, on their Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube channels. For those of you curious to learn more about CBD outside of the CBDtop10 resources, Wellicy is worth a look.
Taste (8.5 out of 10)
We have tried flavored CBD oils that try to lay a pleasant flavor over the grassy taste of hemp and fall far short, so we didn’t expect great taste from Wellicy’s Chocolate Mint oil. What a surprise we got! Whatever process Wellicy uses, it’s a good one, as the chocolate mint flavor was as pleasant as you could ask for; a very nice taste that does not leave you feeling that they are masking something. We’ll definitely be coming back to this tasty oil.
Delivery (8.0 out of 10)
Wellicy uses a standard dropper for their delivery method. As we are seeing more often these days, the dropper is conveniently imprinted with volume markings, which helps to accurately measure your desired dosage. The oil itself is dark (chocolate!) and smooth. Combined with the pleasant taste, this makes for an easy oil to take on a daily basis.
Potency (8.5 out of 10)
The Wellicy Chocolate Mint oil is a 1000 mg formulation, which puts it at the middle range of potency. As more and more CBD producers have come on the scene, we have observed an uptick in the potency levels across the board, and 500 mg to 1000 mg is a very common strength range. At 1000 mg per 30 milliliters, it’s a good formulation to give you choices in the dosage you desire. (See our How to Use CBD infographic to help you find the right dosage for you). For those who use a lower dosage, Wellicy offers this oil in 250 mg and 500 mg formulations, as well.
Effect (8.0 out of 10)
Our review team was pleased with the results from this pleasant oil. As stated above, we liked the taste, and we found we also liked the results. At our standard dose, we felt a sense of relaxation flow through our body and mind without getting sleepy. This review has been prepared during the Coronavirus quarantine, and we joked that the effect was just right to keep us from butting heads with our fellow house captives.
Price (8.5 out of 10)
This is not the cheapest oil you’ll find, but it’s close to the inexpensive end of the range that we have seen. Receiving 1000mg of CBD oil at $79.95 (price of the bottle at time of review), you’re getting CBD at 8.06 cents per milligram. That’s a very good price, especially for an oil this pleasant and effective! We’ve seen prices as low as five cents per milligram, while others push into the high teens, so this oil is in a nice spot. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this one for your CBD regimen.
