Initial Thoughts

While the crunchy branding of plusCBD is more in line with a health food store than a mainstream CBD oil brand, we were impressed by the product. This product is by far the best CBD oil we’ve tasted. The bottle offers a no-nonsense delivery system, as well, making it easy to take with you on-the-go. The cbd effect and potency of the 500mg is perfect for people trying CBD for the first time and wondering what is cbd all about. It won’t blow your socks off, but you’ll start to understand if CBD might be right for you. The price reflects the potency and clocks in at a reasonable, mid-range price perfect for someone looking to buy cbd oil for the first time.

Taste (9.5 out of 10)

The flavor of this oil is by far one of the best CBD oils we’ve tasted. While some enjoy the earthy marijuana notes of natural hemp oil flavoring, if you’re like us, you probably want to mask it. PlusCBD peppermint does just that. The peppermint flavor here not only masks the hemp oil taste, but gives a tiny burst of freshness. This makes it great for getting that initial CBD effect in the morning or re-upping mid-day.

Delivery (9.5 out of 10)

This product has a standard CBD oil texture. PlusCBD peppermint is not too thin (ala a tincture) and not too thick, like some CBD oils that clump in dropper bottles. We found that the oil was consistent from the first drop to the last. The push-button top makes it easier than a dropper bottle to get a quick fix on-the-go, or at work. This also means that there is less spillage and mess with the plusCBD line of CBD oils.

Potency (5.2 out of 10)

We feel that plusCBD is a beginner’s level CBD oil. It doesn’t pack the most powerful cannabidiol punch and is on the lower end of potency. But, you also aren’t paying 1500 mg prices. With the convenient delivery mechanism, we feel this is a great low-potency oil to test your CBD tolerance with. Start with a few drops and move up until you reach the desired CBD effects. From there, you can zone in on the concentration level that best suits you, or cater your number of drops per day more effectively.

Effect (4.9 out of 10)

Since the potency is on the lower end, it’s not unexpected that the suggested serving size delivers a limited CBD effect. (unless you do a multiple of the suggested serving) We still do prefer CBD oil to vapes, as oils give a more consistent CBD effect throughout the body. That said, don’t expect to be blown away by plusCBD peppermint. It’s a beginner-level product in our eyes. We expect the average person will quickly develop a CBD tolerance that makes this product less than ideal over the long-term. The first drops on day 1 will feel great and we think you’ll feel the benefits of the CBD. But, don’t expect to have the same tolerance by the end of the bottle. Meaning, you can move through this product fairly quickly as you build a tolerance.

Price (7.0 out of 10)

All CBD is expensive no matter where you buy – there’s no getting around it unless some laws change. We found that PlusCBD peppermint clocks in at a moderate price, relative to other brands offering CBD Oils of the same potency. It’s not the cheapest and it’s far from the most expensive. We’ve given PlusCBD a 7 on price because we feel that you get a lot of bang for your buck, all else considered. Given the moderate pricing and multiple bottle sizes that allow for sampling, we think many entrants into CBD and hemp oil consumption will find this product to be very appealing.

Initial Thoughts

Similar to the Peppermint version, the crunchy branding of plusCBD is more in line with a health food store than a mainstream CBD oil brand. Unlike the Peppermint version, however, this is absolutely the worst CBD oil flavor we’ve tasted. (more on that in a minute) The bottle does offer a no-nonsense delivery system, making it easy to take with you on-the-go. The potency and effect of the 500 mg is perfect for people trying CBD for the first time and wanting to understand cbd oil benefits. It won’t blow your socks off, but you’ll start to understand if CBD might be right for you. The price reflects the potency and clocks in at a reasonable, mid-range price perfect for someone looking to buy CBD oil for the first time. But, with the taste, we strongly suggest you choose the Peppermint flavor over Vanilla.

Taste (1.0 out of 10)

Unlike it’s Peppermint peer, this oil is simply gross. It’s actually hard to force yourself to swallow it. We haven’t tried the natural flavor from plusCBD, but we have to imagine that a slug of pure liquid hemp oil would taste better. We’re not trying to be mean (we love the Peppermint version of the product), but we cannot stress enough how awful this tastes. Unlike a smooth vanilla latte or vanilla ice cream, when added to the hemp oil, this particular product tastes very acidic and harsh. Steer clear!

Delivery (9.5 out of 10)

This product has a standard CBD oil texture. PlusCBD Vanilla is not too thin (ala a tincture) and not too thick, like some CBD oils that clump in dropper bottles. We found that the oil was consistent from the first drop to the tenth. We didn’t get any further than 10 drops, due to the taste. The push-button top does make it easier than a dropper bottle to get a quick fix on-the-go, or at work. This also means that there is less spillage and mess with the plusCBD line of oils.

Potency (5.2 out of 10)

We feel that plusCBD is a beginner’s level CBD product. It doesn’t pack the most powerful punch and is on the lower end of potency. But, you also aren’t paying 1500 mg prices. With the convenient delivery mechanism, we feel this BRAND line is a low-potency product to test your CBD tolerance with, just not this flavor. Start with a few drops and move up until you reach the desired level of CBD effects. From there, you can zone in on the concentration level that best suits you, or cater your number of drops per day more effectively.

Effect (4.9 out of 10)

Since the potency is on the lower end, it’s not unexpected that the suggested serving size delivers a limited effect. (unless you do a multiple of the suggested serving) We still do prefer CBD oils to vapes, as oils give a more consistent body effect that we expect from cannabidiol. That said, don’t expect to be blown away by plusCBD Vanilla. It’s a beginner-level product in our eyes. We expect the average person will quickly develop a CBD tolerance and move to a more concentrated oil or CBD edibles. The first 4 drops on day 1 will feel great. But, don’t expect to have the same tolerance by the end of the bottle. Meaning, you can move through this product fairly quickly as you build a tolerance.

Price (7.0 out of 10)

All CBD is expensive – there’s no getting around it unless some laws change.
