Initial Thoughts
There’s a lot to like about Plant Therapy as a company. With a solid history of supplying quality essential oils and a commitment charitable work in line with their founding principles, they have a solid basis for offering their CBD product line to customers new and old. Their recent CBD launch came to our attention, and we wanted to see how they would fit into the CBD world. As it turns out, they fit in quite nicely, as you will read below. Coupled with a wealth of information on their website, we found that Plant Therapy’s broad spectrum, THC-free CBD line has much to offer.
Taste (9.0 out of 10)
The unflavored CO2 Hemp Extract CBD Oil is a very smooth, mild tasting oil. We usually have more to say here, but this time we can sum it up like this: no bitterness, no aftertaste, and only the slightest hint of vegetation taste usually found in a CBD oil. Very nice!
Delivery (8.0 out of 10)
Plant Therapy uses the common dropper as their delivery method. Regular readers know that we are not wild about droppers, but we recognize that it is pretty standard, and our score here reflects that. As for the product, the thinness of the oil combined with the taste results in a pleasant experience overall.
Potency (7.7 out of 10)
The oil that we reviewed is a 500 mg oil, which is a middle-strength oil favored by many on a CBD regimen. A dropper full will nominally deliver 16.6 mg of CBD, a fairly common dosage. The broad-spectrum formulation seemed to deliver a nice cannabidiol-desired effect, and we judged the potency to deliver well at this strength. Other strengths are available (100 mg, 1000 mg, 2500 mg), giving Plant Therapy CBD users a choice.
Effect (8.4 out of 10)
As mentioned under potency, our review team felt that the Plant Therapy broad-spectrum oil delivered nicely at the 500 mg strength. We look for a feeling of calm, and a calming effect that lasts. Taken in the morning, we noted that we faced the day with confidence and calm. Taken in the evening, we slept soundly. We think that Plant Therapy has a sound formulation that delivers on the CBD promise.
Price (7.5 out of 10)
The price for the Plant Therapy CO2 Hemp Extract CBD Oil came in at $.09/mg, which puts it in the lower middle part of our expected range. Given the good marks for taste, potency, and effect, we believe that users can expect solid results for their money.
