Initial Thoughts
Pharma Hemp Complex from Hemp Health Inc. is not one of the better-known CBD companies yet, but they are finding shelf space in many retail locations, and their extensive product line offers something for every CBD user. We tried the extra strength tincture, and our first comments from the review team were positive on the potency (which is important!) and middling on taste (which is something many CBD users report about the products they use). Veterans in particular should consider this company, which offers them a hefty discount.
Taste (7.1 out of 10)
The Pharma Hemp Complex (PHC) is a mild tasting oil. With a coconut oil base, and with vegetable glycerin and turmeric as ingredients, our reviewers found it to be a reasonably pleasant taste. As always, expect the usual earthy, grass-like taste of hemp. Again, the result is a mild taste, and we had no complaints from our review staff over this tincture’s taste.
Delivery (8.5 out of 10)
This tincture comes with a spray pump dispenser instead of a dropper, and we like that. The delivery is incredibly easy to determine CBD dosage (serving size) and does not cause the dripping you might get with a dropper. The spray volume seems consistent, so you can easily determine the dose you are getting. According to the bottle, you can expect that two pumps delivers 6.87 ml, so it is easy to figure how many pumps you need to get your desired dosage. (For those who prefer an eye dropper, you can get one instead of the pump for $.88).
Potency (7.7 out of 10)
Our PHC extra strength tincture contained 550 mg of CBD in a 1 oz. (30 ml) bottle. This is a medium-high concentration, and is touted as extra strength (perhaps because of the turmeric and homeopathic herbs). As mentioned in the delivery section above, anyone from beginners to high-level consumers of CBD can meter this tincture to give the desired potency.
Effect (7.2 out of 10)
The effects were felt very soon after ingesting our review sample, and provided a calming sensation that lasted well into the day according to several of our reviewers. This product compares well with other oils we have reviewed, and should be a good all-around product for you to sample and find the level of usage that suits you.
Price (7.2 out of 10)
The price for this tincture was in the middle of our expected range at $.10 per ml – no drawback to the product, but no advantage either. Being a potent product with a spray pump delivery, the product is a good value at this price.
