Initial Thoughts
We took a look at the company website for our HealthSmart CBD review and saw what we like to see from brands; descriptive articles and links to more information that consumers can use to educate themselves about CBD. As per one of our requirements for review, HealthSmart products are independently tested to ensure a commitment to quality and safety is always met. HealthSmart CBD makes terpene-infused CBD that, in their words, “provide natural solutions for optimal wellness”. In addition to tinctures such as the one we tested, HealthSmart offers gummies, capsules, topicals, vapes, and hemp flower as well as CBD products for pets. We love to see the variations that CBD brands can devise with targeted terpenes, and so we took a look at their 1500 mg peppermint oil.

Taste (9.5 out of 10)
This is hands down one of the best tasting CBD oils we’ve tested to-date. Flavors in a CBD tincture can be hit or miss – some are too strong, while others just miss the mark and can’t quite cover up the natural taste of hemp. HealthSmart hit this one right on target with their peppermint blend. We got a hint of peppermint flavor that was light, cool and refreshing. The aftertaste that lingered was incredibly pleasant and soothing. The taste of this one was enjoyable on its own, regardless of the CBD content. Well done!
Delivery (8.0 out of 10)
This HealthSmart tincture was clear and smooth, as you would expect in a broad-spectrum tincture, processed longer to remove the THC. When you combine the great taste with this level of smoothness, it’s very easy to take and enjoy. Light, smooth and pleasant. The dropper didn’t draw all the way to 1 ml, but that’s the only minor gripe we had. Aroma, taste, and texture all contribute to a nice delivery.
Potency (8.5 out of 10)
At 1500 mg of CBD in a 30 ml bottle, this tincture packs a lot of CBD punch. A full dose in the 1 ml dropper will deliver 50 mg of CBD. This is the dosage we generally use when reviewing, and is a common serving for many CBD users. Many people, however, are quite content with a lower dosage. For those people, this bottle will last a long time, just using a partial dropper for their daily dose. Note that HealthSmart offers this oil in various strengths, including 250, 500, 1000, and 1500 mg, so you can choose other strengths suited to your own needs. Effect (8.5 out of 10)
Our review team agreed that our standard dose of this tincture delivered a nice CBD effect. Perhaps it’s the peppermint flavor, but we actually felt a cooling effect on the body. The great thing is that it does not transfer to the head, so we didn’t get a sleepy or sedative feeling. (This is not to imply that a sleepy feeling would be bad – some tinctures are formulated for that purpose). One reviewer on our team reported feeling more creative while using this HealthSmart tincture, which is an interesting and potentially very beneficial result for some of our readers.
