CBDistillery Daytime Synergy Oil Review
Regular readers of our reviews and texts know that CBDistillery is one of our favorite CBD brands. This company does so many things well – product quality, product variety, price, innovations, etc. When the company recently announced the introduction of the new Synergy line, we were enthusiastic to get our hands on these products and produce our first CBDistillery Synergy Oil review.
Taste (9.0 out of 10)
This Daytime Synergy oil is unflavored, beyond the normal hemp taste that is always found in a full spectrum oil. We get that some CBD users want to cover that taste with the addition of extra flavors, but we are fine with the unflavored option.
The hemp taste in this oil is mild and understated, and we didn’t find it unpleasant in any way. There is an aftertaste that lingers for a while, but again, the lingering taste is mild and pleasant enough to be unobtrusive. Give this one 8.5 out of 10.
Delivery (8.0 out of 10)
As with most CBD oils on the market, the Daytime Synergy oil is administered by means of an eye dropper. Our regular readers know we are not fans of this most common CBD delivery method, but we accept that there are not many alternatives if you prefer an oil for your CBD intake.
We were mildly disappointed with the lack of volume marks on the dropper. These marks are becoming more common in CBD oils, and they are handy for getting exact volume measurements. CBDistillery makes a nice effort to replace dropper marks with a graphic on the package that visually indicates the CBD and CBG milligrams one will get at various levels of the dropper. This is a nice touch (but the dropper marks would still be a plus).
This Daytime Synergy oil is a clear, light, amber-colored oil. It is smooth and clear, as we have come to expect from CBDistillery, resulting in an oil that is easy to use.
Potency (9.0 out of 10)
This full spectrum oil is available only in a 1000 mg strength, packaged in a 30 milliliter bottle. We suppose that having a range of strengths would not be a bad idea, but we are fine with the single choice of 1000 mg. As more CBD users become more knowledgeable about how to measure dosages and use CBD oils, we have observed a trend toward buying mid to high range strengths (1000 – 1500 mg per 30 ml bottle).
With a bottle of this strength, one has the option of easily varying dosages and having the bottle last longer while recognizing savings in price per milligram that come with higher strengths.
We like to use a higher strength oil for our CBD regimen. If we need less CBD on a on a day when all is going well, it’s easy to take a smaller amount and reduce the CBD intake. The 1000 mg oil was a good potency for us, and we feel it would suit many CBD users just as well.

Effect (8.5 out of 10)
We always count on a good product from the CBDistillery team, and they certainly delivered with this Synergy oil. We took the name to suggest that the Daytime Synergy oil is intended to deliver a calming mental and physical balance while maintaining energy and focus. There are other formulations for relaxation and sleep. This one is for alert focus, and we felt it delivered on that promise.
The lead reviewer for this product made a point of several days of Synergy build-up, leading up to a good dosage taken an hour prior to an important business meeting. The results were excellent. Our team member reported a sharp focus on the meeting content and an elevated alertness throughout. We can’t say that this will always be the case, but it worked for us.
What is the secret? Maybe it’s the high level of CBG working with the CBD. CBG is often called the mother cannabinoid, from which CBD and other cannabinoids derive. It is less common in the hemp plant than CBD, but research suggests that the CBG effects are stronger.
More research is needed (and is underway), but the personal opinion of our team is that the effects of the balanced CBD:CBG blend delivered real benefits.
Price (9.5 out of 10)
Our 30 milliliter bottle is listed on the CBDistillery site at an MSRP of $85, but is marked down to $75 per bottle. We don’t know if this will be the permanent price, but we are using $75 as our cost for this analysis.
At $75 and containing 1000 milligrams of CBD:CBG hemp extract, this works out to 7.5 cents per milligram. This is not the least expensive oil we have seen, but it’s not far off, and frankly we’re surprised that it came in that low.
Other CBD brands on the market usually range from 5 to 15 cents per milligram of CBD (although lately we have seen some oils as low as 3.2 cents per mg). This puts the Daytime Synergy oil toward the low end of the usual range that we see.
Notes on the Synergy Products
The Synergy line was conceived to “marry the symbiotic power of hemp cannabinoids with other functional ingredients”. What does that mean? Simply that CBDistillery has formulated these Synergy products to emphasize a mix of the various beneficial compounds found in hemp (CBD, CBG, CBN, etc.). Various beneficial ingredients – functional ingredients – are added to these cannabinoid mixtures to increase the potential benefit that is being targeted.
And what are functional ingredients? According to the Mayo Clinic; “Functional foods are foods that have a potentially positive effecton health beyond basic nutrition. Proponents of functional foods say they promote optimal health and help reduce the risk of disease”. Clearly, then, CBDistillery aims to maximize the benefits of these products by emphasizing the entourage effect and supplementing it with additional beneficial ingredients.
We chose the Daytime Synergy for our first review in this product line. This is a hemp extract oil that blends equal volumes of CBG and CBD with natural terpenes and flavonoids in a full spectrum oil tincture.
The Synergy line is an exciting concept, and we were anxious to receive samples so we could publish our first CBDistillery Synergy Oil review.

CBDistillery CBD Oil Review 1000mg Full Spectrum
The CBDistillery CBD oils are fast becoming one of our favorite CBD products. We reviewed their 500mg Full Spectrum CBD oil a few months back and our readers seemed to gravitate to the review. Though the company previously only cracked the #5 spot, the review was one of heavy traffic getters each week. And, for good reason – CBDistillery has excellent branding, a passionate staff and quality CBD. We decided to step up a level and give their 1000mg Full Spectrum CBD oil a shot as well and we were not disappointed.
Taste (9.0 out of 10)
As soon as you crack open the CBDistillery CBD oil, you can smell the quality from the fresh terpene aromas. This full-spectrum oil smells like the real deal, but lacks the THC, of course. Purists will appreciate the authenticity, as it definitely adds to the overall experience. Like Irwin Naturals unflavored oil, CBDistillery hasn’t shied away from the taste of an oil that is purely natural. That said, the taste is much more subtle than the scent would lead you to believe. This oil is super smooth with only the lightest of hemp oil tastes and a mild aftertaste. It’s not complete masking, but that’s OK – it feels like you’re getting away with something while enjoying a completely legal product.
Delivery (8.0 out of 10)
This is a lighter oil in both color and thickness, so it’s easy to measure out and consume. We’ve knocked off our points for using a standard dropper. We can’t underscore enough that the smell does add to the delivery experience. The aromatics of the 1000mg earned this CBDistillery CBD oil an extra point above their 500mg product on delivery. It’s really is that pleasant.
Potency (9.0 out of 10)
At 1000mg per 15ml, this product is packing a nice punch. It’s not the highest CBD potency on the market, but it’s pretty close to perfect for us. To highlight that point, another 1000mg oil from Medterra holds our #2 spot. Generally speaking, a dropper is going to pull around 1ml of oil. So, with each dropper full, you’ll get about 66mg of CBD goodness. The potency is not so concentrated that they had to go to extra lengths to mask the taste, but potent enough that most people won’t need more than a dropper worth.
Effect (8.5 out of 10)
We eased into a relaxed state as we were taking our notes for this CBDistillery review. We weren’t lethargic, but pleasantly de-stressed. This product and effect could quickly become a daily ritual for us. We’ve reached out to CBDistillery to find out more about the terpene blend in this product. But whatever it is, this full-spectrum CBD blend feels “just right.”
Price (9.5 out of 10)
We purchased our 1000mg CBDistillery CBD oil for $60, which appears to be the new normal pricing. The means that buyers are getting CBD at $.06 per milligram – which is great. It’s not the lowest price on the market, but it’s on the lower end of the spectrum with brands such as Nuleaf. When you combine our 20% off CBDistillery coupon code “CBDtop10” with this base pricing and all of the other attributes, you absolutely cannot go wrong here. This is one of our favorite products to-date.

CBDistillery CBD Oil Review 500mg Full Spectrum
A first look at the CBDistillery website makes one aware that the full spectrum of CBD products is represented here (with the exception of vapes, coming soon). We are currently focused on oils, but we look forward to trying slabs, terpsolates, creams, etc. as we continue our review process. A well-written blog offered some unique and helpful ideas for putting CBD to use, and the faq section was comprehensive. The CBDistillery CBD oil bottle itself is presented well enough, although we would like to see some dosage guidance on the label.
Note: The label on this bottle is no longer used, but our thoughts on this CBDistillery oil are still valid. December 2021
Taste (7.5 out of 10)
Based on the original rugged crystalline graphics on the bottle, we expected a strong blast of unadulterated hemp. Instead, we found a smooth, relatively thick oil with a mild and subtle hemp taste. If you are familiar with Bluebird Botanicals line of CBD oils, this is a similar consistency. Without added flavoring, you will necessarily get a vegetation-like taste with oils, but this was low-key and not unpleasant. One would be fine with using this oil any time of day.
Delivery (7.0 out of 10)
As noted under the Taste section, this oil is thicker than some oils. That does not mean it was difficult to measure out or use. The term “thicker” is relative to other oils and does not indicate a highly viscous oil. Like many brands, the CBDistillery CBD oil is dispensed with a dropper. We look forward to reviewing their capsules, powders, etc., since we are not big fans of droppers. With that said, we had no trouble measuring and dispensing our desired dosage.
Potency (7.5 out of 10)
We estimated our own dosage of this oil to be comparable to other products reviewed in this category. At 500 mg per 15ml, this isn’t the most potent concentration on the market, but not the least potent either. For reference, the 500mg CBDistillery products clocks in just above concentrations from the similarly-rated Endoca products. There are guidelines on the CBDistillery website that recommend dosage levels, but not on the bottle. They also say, as we do, that a good practice is to start with a smaller serving size and increase until desired effects are reached.
Effect (7.0 out of 10)
Our desired effects were felt very soon after ingesting our CBDistillery review sample, and provided a calming presence that lasted well into the day. This product compares well with other oils we have reviewed, and should be a good all-around product for you to sample and find the level of usage that suits you.
Price (8.5 out of 10)
CBDistillery CBD oil is priced at the low end of the usual range, averaging approximately $.07 per milligram. This is an excellent price for a product that more than met the standard we hope for in a CBD oil, offering a great value. Given the great scores that CBDistillery put up in the categories above, we feel like the price is the icing on the cake. When combined with our exclusive CBDistillery coupon code “CBDtop10”, you’ll save an additional 20%. This product will definitely find a loyal following at this price.
