The search is on for some way to stop the destructive march of the Coronavirus. As the virus spreads, markets tank, and whole cities are quarantined, people are rightfully afraid and looking for protection. A study at The University of Queensland’s Institute for Molecular Bioscience’s Centre for Superbug Solutions in Brisbane, Australia, where CBD was shown to be “remarkably effective” at killing bacteria in a test tube. However, the researchers caution, the results are very preliminary and require more study before a definitive claim can be made.
What might encourage the CBD user, along with the results of these studies, is the overall contribution to body health that may be gained from regular CBD use, keeping the body in a state of healthy equilibrium through interaction with one’s endocannabinoid system. Perhaps this equilibrium and overall healthy state will help provide a barrier to viral infections.
